About the vacancy:

Following a recent team reshaping, we're excited to be recruiting multiple Asset Delivery Surveyors to join our newly shaped Asset Delivery function.

We're looking for technically strong professionals with mechanical & electrical (M&E) expertise, particularly in gas and electrical compliance, to support delivery of our investment programmes.

In this role you'll provide technical oversight and contract management of M&E works, ensuring gas servicing, heating installations, electrical testing and remedial programmes are delivered safely, compliantly and to specification. Responsibilities include site inspections, quality assurance, contractor performance management and defect resolution, ensuring full alignment with statutory requirements and technical standards.

You'll play a key role in delivering compliance-led asset programmes, managing projects end-to-end while maintaining control over cost, quality, programme and risk.

This is an ideal opportunity for candidates with experience in gas, electrical or wider M&E project delivery within housing or a regulated environment who are looking to join a forward-focused, evolving team.

Specifically, in the role you will:

  • Undertake Project Management duties (pre contract, contract phase and post contract) on allocated projects. The Project Surveyor will be required to have knowledge of all project contract documents, specifications, schedules, and relevant documentation associated with each scheme.
  • Conduct regular, detailed inspections of work to ensure it matches architectural drawings, structural, and M&E specifications. Check that materials delivered to the site meet the required quality, durability, and safety standards to ensure building longevity.
  • Document site progress through detailed reports, photographs, and records of work. Identify, log, and report construction defects and non-compliant work, ensuring they are rectified promptly.
  • Act as a critical link between the client, architects, structural engineers, and contractors to resolve issues. Provide on-site guidance to contractors regarding drawings and specifications. onsite management of supply chain partners with emphasis on quality, safety, programme, and
  • Lead projects and manage capital investment schemes, managing multiple projects concurrently from inception through to final
  • Gather all relevant information including conducting site surveys, preparing specifications to prepare tender documents ensuring that they are of a high standard.
  • Ensuring all relevant statutory regulations are adhered to across the project including but not limited to CDM Regulations, Planning and Building Regulations Party Wall Act, Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations, etc.
  • Assist in the management and monitoring of allocated budgets ensuring that expenditure is on target and meets the requirements of the delegated authority within the financial regulations to include verifying contractors / consultants' financial valuation submissions monthly and certify payment notices.
  • Effectively use all project management techniques to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on the allocated projects against the indicators agreed
  • monitoring KPI's, quality of work and signing off completed work.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, private occupants and leaseholders ensuring all complaints and queries are dealt with in accordance with Hedyn's policy.
  • Manage key customer and supply chain interfaces to ensure that customer service meets the desired quality level in terms of product and services delivery in relation to projects allocated.

  • Work closely with other relevant service areas and provide guidance, technical expertise to ensure coordinated information concerning investment works is available and disseminated to all interested
  • Play an active role in developing team relationships both internally and externally to ensure a coordinated project management approach to the delivery of the allocated projects.
  • Undertake building site inspections working at height, using ladders and/or scaffold and gain access in to confined spaces.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the business internally and
