Role: DSEAR Consultant
Location: North of England Remote role with travel to various projects across the North
Contract role: Day rate in the region of £350 - £450

We Recruit Group is excited to be partnering with an award-winning risk management consultancy, they are looking to appoint an experienced DSEAR Consultant on an ongoing contract basis to support a range of sites and projects across the North of England.

This is a field-based role suited to a confident and technically competent consultant who is comfortable travelling to multiple sites throughout the week, carrying out assessments and providing practical advice around hazardous substances, flammable atmospheres and regulatory compliance.

You will be responsible for supporting clients with DSEAR compliance across a varied portfolio of operational sites and projects. The role will involve site visits, assessments, reporting and working closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to identify risks and recommend suitable control measures.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out DSEAR risk assessments across multiple sites
  • Identifying and assessing risks associated with dangerous substances and explosive atmospheres
  • Reviewing existing procedures, processes and control measures
  • Producing clear, practical reports with findings, recommendations and action plans
  • Advising clients on compliance with DSEAR and wider health and safety legislation
  • Supporting the implementation of safe systems of work
  • Liaising with site teams, operational staff and senior stakeholders
  • Travelling to different sites and projects across the South of England throughout the week

About You:

The successful consultant will ideally have:

  • Previous experience delivering DSEAR assessments and consultancy support
  • Strong knowledge of DSEAR regulations and associated compliance requirements
  • Experience working across multiple sites or project environments
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to health and safety
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the South of England

Experience across sectors such as manufacturing, utilities, energy, facilities, industrial, commercial, storage, logistics or operational environments would be advantageous.
