Whitley Bridge | £56,000 | Monday-Friday, 40 Hours (Days Only)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Supervisor to join a highly automated food manufacturing and milling operation. Reporting into site management, you will lead and support a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance while driving reliability, safety, compliance and engineering performance across a 24/7 production environment.
\n
The role is hands-on and would suit an experienced Engineering Supervisor, Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with strong leadership skills and either an electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled background.

\nKey Responsibilities\n
\n
\n - Lead, support and develop the site engineering team.
\n - Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities and contractor work.
\n - Manage PPM schedules and drive reductions in unplanned downtime.
\n - Support breakdowns, fault finding and continuous improvement activities.
\n - Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and audit standards.
\n - Support site projects and engineering budget management.
\n - Act as an escalation point for out-of-hours engineering issues.

\nRequirements\n
\n
\n - ONC/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
\n - Previous experience leading or supervising engineers.
\n - Strong maintenance engineering background within manufacturing.
\n - Experience with planned and reactive maintenance systems.
\n - Good knowledge of pneumatics and fault finding.
\n - NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification desirable for electrically biased candidates.
\n - Food/FMCG, bakery, milling or other high-volume manufacturing experience advantageous.
